17 years experience in portrait drawing hasn’t been an easy journey. I work in different kinds of mediums such as the Charcoal,Pastel, Pencil , oil paint and acrylic
but specialized in the genre of Hyperrealistic pencil portraits.
All pencil drawings are made on paper and Paintings are done on canvas, I work in specific sizes Small, Medium , Large size etc.

ARTIST STATEMENTS
Kwabnat Said; His interest for pencil art began way back in 2008 where he discovered pencil artist Kelvin Okafor on the internet, at then he was more into painting but had a little idea about pencil shading. Kwabnat said, in fact he was marvelled and he couldn't believe a person could use a pencil to create a piece so real and lively.
Since then,Kwabnat focus diverted straightly into pencil art. He had worked over 800 portraits in both pencil shading and paintings , he depends more on commissions.
Due to his natural ability and passion for portraitures he had being inspired to draw many celebrities like John Dumelo, Yvonne Nelson, Dr.Crym, Martha Ankoma, Beyonce Knowles, Ishaan, Justin Bieber, Ana Brenda Contreas, Chika Ike,Nadia Buari,Kofi Annan, Lauryn Hill etc.
He is amazing, looking at the way he captured all the faces unto paper you will be marvelled, all his works looks like photographs but are handmade photo-realistic pencil drawings. He is a passionate portrait artist whose interest is in details and precession.
The first step he considers before starting a drawing piece is, he studies the picture for a couple of days just to draw inspiration and interest from the picture. After this he focuses on his goals which are details, precision and realism. Spending some time with the picture he develops the best technique to carry out his work.
Kwabnat says, the most interesting part of the human figure he always loves to render is the Head to the bust “Portrait“ because he thinks that's what exhibit our identity.
“Art my soul “ Kwabnat is a versatile artist because he loves to work with variety of media such as oil paintings,pastel,acrylics,charcoal and Graphite pencil Drawing, but he picked graphite and charcoal as his favorite media, because they are easy to work with and they also blend together very well .He says”Graphite and charcoal takes him back to the past where photographs were in black and white.
